V Rising Crafting & Resources Guide: Production Chains
Crafting in V Rising is built on production chains — raw materials become refined materials, which become gear and consumables. Understanding these chains and optimizing them with room bonuses is the key to never running out of what you need.

Production Chains
Most end-game items require 2-3 crafting steps. Planning your production chain before you start gathering saves trips and lets you batch-produce efficiently.
Example: Crafting Dark Silver Ingots
Mine Silver Ore from Silverlight Hills nodes
Smelt Silver Ore into Silver Ingots at the Furnace
Combine Silver Ingots + Scourgestone at the Furnace for Dark Silver Ingots
Our Crafting Calculator shows you the full production chain for any recipe. Enter what you want to craft and it calculates every intermediate material you need.
Room Bonus Impact
Matching rooms give a 25% material cost reduction on all recipes crafted inside them. Check our Castle Building Guide for optimal room layouts. Over the course of a playthrough, this saves thousands of materials.
Without Room Bonus
20 Iron Ore → 4 Iron Ingots (standard rate)
With Room Bonus
15 Iron Ore → 4 Iron Ingots (25% savings)
Always build matching rooms before batch crafting. The 25% savings pays for the room construction very quickly.
The room bonus applies to ALL stations in that room, so consolidate related stations together.
Even temporary crafting setups benefit from rooms. Do not skip rooms just because you plan to reorganize later.
Resource Tracking
Keeping track of your resource inventory prevents wasted farming trips. Know what you have before you go gathering.
Check what you need
Use the Crafting Calculator to see all materials required for your target recipes, including intermediate steps.
Log your current inventory
Use the Resource Tracker to record what you have in storage. It calculates the deficit automatically.
Plan your farming route
Based on what you need, plan a route through regions with those resources. Combine gathering trips with blood farming for efficiency.
Batch produce
Craft in bulk using room bonuses. Queue up all your refinement first, then move to equipment crafting while refined materials are ready.
Optimization Tips
Craft during the day
Queue up long crafting jobs while the sun is up and you cannot go outside. Use daytime for station crafting and nighttime for gathering runs.
Keep a stockpile of basics
Maintain reserves of common materials like planks, stone bricks, and basic ingots. Running out mid-craft is frustrating and wastes time.
Prioritize room bonuses for expensive recipes
The 25% savings matter most on high-cost recipes. If you can only build a few rooms, prioritize the Forge and Alchemy rooms first.
Use servants for passive gathering
Send servants on missions to regions with the resources you need. Our Servant Mission Guide covers optimal blood type matching for each region. They bring back materials while you focus on boss progression or building.
Common Mistakes
Crafting without checking the full chain
Starting to craft end-game items without checking intermediate requirements leads to half-finished recipes and wasted trips. Always check the full chain first.
Ignoring room bonuses for quick crafts
Even one-off crafts benefit from room bonuses. Taking 30 seconds to place a station in the right room saves 25% materials every time.
Not tracking resource inventory
Gathering materials you already have in storage wastes valuable nighttime hours. Check inventory before heading out on farming runs.
Use the Crafting Calculator to plan your full production chain. Enter the final item and it shows every raw material needed, accounting for room bonuses.
